Applying for a Free Artist Profile

Are you an Australian Indigenous Aboriginal Artist?
If you are, you are eligible to promote yourself for free on this website. If you are related to or a friend of the artist, you can tell them about this service.

How do I get listed on this site?
All you have to do is first send an email introducing yourself and letting us know that you would be interested in promoting yourself as an artist and your artwork.

Once we confirm your email, you will then need to email us your biography which should include any or all of the following:

• Full Name:
• Skin Name:
• Tribe:
• Date of Birth and Where you were Born:
• Language:
• Country/Region:

You should also provide a background history of yourself. You can include information such as:

• your family background
• why or how you started to paint
• you can name other well know artists that you are related to or have influence you
• any other influences in your life
• your ‘Dreamings’
• the types of art you do and the subject matter of your art
• list all exhibitions you have had
• any collections, museums or galleries where your work appear
• any awards you may have been awarded
• if you already have a website, the link to that site
• any thing else that you think collectors and purchasers of your artwork would like to know about you
• you will need to provide a photo of yourself to go with your listing
• selection of photos of your work that you want to promote and show to the world
  
  It is preferred that you send us only electronic versions of your photos. If you are unable to do that, then we will accept photos mailed to us, however we cannot return the photos, so make sure you only send copies. Also this is a slower process for getting your information online. We will give you a special email address to send the images to.
   
• you may also send us your approval to use copies of existing images of your work that appear elsewhere online. (All work used will include the relevant copyright information and source reference.)

If you are supported and promoted by specific galleries you can also include their information by listing them within your profile.

If you have your own website, then you should also link back to this site, as it will assist in improving your own website ranking, as search engines currently look favourably on sites that link to each other.
