Welcome to Deadly Artists - your online Indigenous Aboriginal Australia Art Gallery.
Deadly is defined by the Australian Macquarie Dictionary as extremely
accurate, effective, also as fantastic, terrific. Also defined as: really good,
impressive.
Today, the term ‘Deadly’, has become a popular word used by the mainland
indigenous people of Australia to mean excellent, awesome, cool.
This website is dedicated to Australia’s Indigenous Aboriginal Artists.
It is a free resource for all those seeking information about the Indigenous
Artists of Australia.
If you use information from this site, all we ask is that you credit your use of
the information back to this website. If you have your own website, a
link back
to our home page is also requested, as well as a link back to the profile page
of the individual artist.
Can You Help?
Our new section contains requests for help in identifying information on
Australian Indigenous Aboriginal artists and their art work. |
Many images displayed on this site of individual artworks may not be of the best
quality, some photos having been taken outdoors, with flash, un-stretched canvas etc.
We consider it important to include as many of the supplied images as possible,
not only to provide the artists with a record of their works, but also to give the
viewer examples of the artist range of works.
As this site is a continuing project in progress, new content about Indigenous artists will
be added over time. We welcome any contribution of photos/images of paintings on
behalf of the artists.
So keep coming back to see the latest information...
